First Capital Surety & Trust Company (“First Capital”) is an independent state-chartered trust company with its charter situs being South Dakota. First Capital’s business is to serve as trustee and trust administrator for Settlement Trusts and Wealth Management Trusts, i.e. financial and estate planning trusts. Pursuant to South Dakota statute, First Capital may administer trusts in all fifty states and is trustee for more than 1,100 trusts.

First Capital is the longest serving trust company specializing in Settlement Trusts and Special Needs Trusts.  We provide the Settlement Planners with immediate access to our staff for technical support and for settlement consulting support.

WEALTH MANAGERS

First Capital serves as trustee and administrator for Directed Trusts (unbundled trusts) where the trust’s assets are invested and managed by an entity other than First Capital.  These entities may be a R.I.A., broker dealer, financial planner or other investment service provider.
